The Thermo Fisher Scientific Phambili Trust is a broad-based Black economic empowerment initiative. The Trust’s goal is to help Black students develop academically and empower themselves by providing educational enrichment bursaries.
The bursary will primarily cover tuition fees and living costs. Further costs, ancillary to the applicant’s studies, can be covered if there are excess funds in the bursary provided for the applicant to the tertiary institution.
The Trust offers the bursary for one (1) academic year.
The bursary is renewable, upon application and subject to the eligibility and academic performance of the applicant.
To be eligible for consideration for the bursary, applicants must be:

Individuals with diverse expertise make up the Trust, which ensures that it operates in accordance with its mission. They maintain the highest levels of governance and transparency to fulfil their obligations to beneficiaries.
