Academic support through bursaries for educational enrichment

The Thermo Fisher Scientific Phambili Trust Bursary is designed to provide financial assistance to eligible candidates pursuing tertiary education. The bursary covers tuition and living expenses, and additional expenses incurred during the applicant's studies.

The bursary will enable deserving candidates to pursue their academic goals without financial constraints, allowing them to reach their full potential.

Tenure

The Trust offers the bursary for one (1) academic year

Value

The Bursary will primarily cover tuition fees and living costs

Renewable

Renewable upon application, eligibility and academic performance.

Eligibility and selection criteria

The following are the eligibility and selection criteria for the bursary:
  • The applicant must be Black, as defined in the B-BBEE codes of good practice.
  • The applicant must come from an economically disadvantaged background and demonstrate financial need.
  • The applicant must be pursuing further education or acquiring skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) at a tertiary institution in South Africa.
  • The applicant should be under 35 years old.
